TV2 Play – Jeanette Ottesen, Ikke Uden Kamp

Baggrund om

Way back in 2018, Jeanette Ottesen told us her story for the first time. We were both outraged and dazzled. Denmark's most winning athlete ever had been dropped because she was pregnant. But without support from the union, Jeanette still wanted to show the world that she could fight her way back to top form after a pregnancy all on her own. We wanted to tell that story. A relevant, honest and present portrait came out of it, in which we follow Jeanette's dream of the Olympics with a baby on her arm in four episodes. The series was produced in collaboration with TV2Play, where it can also be streamed.

At buzzanova, we love to create relatable and engaging content in all forms. Although the documentary format is probably a more rare task, we think that it shows in the finest way how stories can be told in many ways and in many formats.

Casestudy

Challenge
Baggrund om
Jeanette Ottesen's story was relevant, incredible and outrageous, but not many people knew about it. We wanted to take the whole of Denmark on her journey to the Olympics, where she would have to face the challenges on her own.
Solution
Baggrund om
The solution was a documentary series in four episodes produced in collaboration with TV2Play. We promoted the episodes via Jeanette Ottesen's own social channels, Instagram and Facebook as well as TV2's channels.
Result
Baggrund om
The result was a exciting portrait of Denmark's most winning athlete. It sparked a debate in the Danish media about maternity and top sports. We also achieved a high reach and engagement on Social Media.
